Baltimore County Christmas Tree pickup 2017 is the over a two week period, beginning the week of January 9-14.

Christmas trees in Baltimore County must be placed by the curb by January 14 in order to ensure pickup.

The trees must be completely free of lights and decorations, including any tinsel. Also, they CANNOT be in tree bags — many people use those to prevent needles from falling onto the floor or around the yard when taking their trees down, but they must be removed from these bags before being put out for pick up.

Also, according to the Baltimore County Government website, Christmas trees will only be picked up at the curb, so Rodgers Forge residents and Loch Raven Village residents, plus others who usually put their trash in the alley need to be aware NOT to put their trees in the alley.

Please note that Baltimore County also offers a tree drop off at three places in order to have it recycled & made into mulch. Should you want your tree removed prior to the pick up week, you may drop off your tree beginning December 27, 2016.

The three locations for Christmas tree drop off are: Baltimore County Resource Recovery Facility off Warren Road in Cockeysville, Eastern Sanitary Landfill Solid Waste Management Facility in White Marsh off Pulaski Highway, and the Acceptance Facility in Halethorpe.

If you have questions or concerns, please call the Baltimore County Bureau of Solid Waste Management at 410-887-2000.

Please note that the above information is only for Baltimore County Christmas Tree removal.
