Beltway Lane Closures in Towson will be occurring intermittently from August 2013 through the Summer of 2014.

The State Highway Administrating is resurfacing about 2 1/2 miles of the Beltway (I-695) from about a half mile West of Exit 26 (which is York Rd — MD 45) and Providence Rd, which is Exit 28.

According to a notice from Steve Lafferty, of the Maryland House of Delegates for the 42nd District:

“Motorists may encounter temporary overnight single and double lane closures along I-695 Sunday through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next morning.  In addition, motorists may encounter shoulder closures on I-695 Monday through Thursday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and on Friday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.  Crews may close and detour interchange ramps at Exit 26 – MD 45, Exit 27 – MD 146 (Dulaney Valley Road) and Exit 28 – Providence Road Sunday through Thursday, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next morning as needed for work on each ramp.”

Thank you to Delegate Lafferty for sharing these details with us. Here is a link to google maps of that area.

Be careful when driving through this area of Towson on the Beltway, and be prepared for detours and closures at night and early morning.
