Baltimore County Public Schools announced that George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology in Towson and Hereford High School were both named Maryland Blue Ribbon Schools this morning!

CONGRATULATIONS to both schools!

Six schools in Maryland were recognized for 2016, two of them here in Baltimore County!

What does this mean? The Blue Ribbon Schools Program is a state and national program that  honors high performing schools,  as well as significant progress in schools. There are very high standards developed by the Maryland State Department of Education and U.S. Department of Education that the schools must meet to be awarded the Blue Ribbon.

Here is the announcement from Baltimore County’s website.

Congratulations to Carver and Hereford!
