Eight Baltimore County High Schools ranked high in a recent report by the Daily Beast.

The Daily Beast came out with their “Top High Schools 2014” list and the Baltimore County High Schools that ranked out of 735 schools were:

Eastern Technical High School: 119

George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology:  129

Hereford High School: 159

Western School of Technology and Environmental Science: 282

Loch Raven High School: 500

Towson High School: 521

Perry Hall High School: 527

Catonsville High School: 617

Both George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology in Towson and Eastern Technical High School in Essex were also in The Daily Beast’s top 100 list for graduation rates!

The criteria for consideration included a graduation rate of at least 85%, and compared the following: four-year graduation rates, college acceptance rates, Advanced Placement (AP) participation rates, as well as college-entrance exam scores to determine the rankings. Here is more from the Baltimore County Public Schools press release.

Congratulations to these Baltimore County High Schools for their achievements and placements on the list!
