Hampdenfest 2014 is BACK ON at a new date – September 20.
The 2014 event was actually canceled because the original date of September 13th interfered with the Star Spangled Spectacular — the celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the Star Spangled Banner, and the 13th is the grand finale for that event.
This year may be a little different due to the late date change. The organizers are contacting vendors, performers, and more to find out availability for the new date.
There are usually four stages with music, and art performances, with shows beginning at 11am. There should still be an activity area for kids, an exhibit for emerging artists, a film festival, arts and crafts vendors and other wares from a wide range of merchants and artists.
I’m hoping that the famous Toilet races are on.
For more details, you can visit the event’s website. The organizers plan to update as they know more!
Come on down to Hampden on September 20th for a good time!
