Before you head to bed on Saturday night March 9, make sure to set you clocks forward an hour as we enter Daylight Saving Time at 2am Sunday, March 10, 2013.
Most of our phones and some digital clocks automatically re-set themselves, but most microwaves and regular battery powered clocks do not!
Though technically we “lose” an hour of sleep, I am excited for an hour more of daylight at the end of each day. Starting Sunday, the 10th, the sun will just be setting around 6:30pm.
Also, please take a quick moment to remember when you change your clocks, it is a good idea to change your batteries in your smoke detectors, if they are not hardwired and use them. Firefighters recommend changing your smoke detector batteries twice a year, and the time change is the perfect time!
