Spring Forward March 9, 2014!

Before you head to bed on Saturday night March 8, remember  to set your clocks forward an hour as we enter Daylight Saving Time at 2am Sunday, March 9, 2014.

Although most of our phones and some digital clocks automatically re-set themselves, but most microwaves and regular battery powered clocks do not!

Though technically we “lose” an hour of sleep, I am excited for an hour more of daylight at the end of each day. Starting Sunday, the 9th, the sun will be setting around 7:07pm! (Now, if we could just get rid of the snow.)

A good idea to do when you change your clocks is to change your batteries in your smoke detectors, if they are not hardwired and use them. Firefighters recommend changing your smoke detector batteries twice a year, and the time change is the perfect time!

Enjoy the daylight later in the day!
