I’ve been wearing purple all week to support my boys, and today have my Joe Flacco jersey on (even with dress pants and heels for work! ) I haven’t gone so far as to get a purple Fu Manchu, but there is no question I support my Baltimore Ravens!

So Sunday I’ll be on my feet cheering on my Baltimore Ravens, wearing my purple, supporting from afar.

I am excited about this weekend when the Ravens take on the Houston Texans here in Baltimore on Sunday. It looks like it is going to be C-O-L-D out there, but I will have my many layers on (I’ll have someone take a picture so you can see “Michelin Man Marney.”

I’ve been wearing purple all week, but today have my Joe Flacco jersey on, and am ready to cheer on the Ravens!

Last time we took on the Texans was in October, and we won then, we are hoping for the same this Sunday.

Baltimore has gone Purple with lights going purple, grasses being painted with the Ravens logo, and a sea of purple shirts & jerseys everywhere!

My son’s school even let them wear Ravens Jerseys as their uniforms today!

Baltimore is in deep support of our team this week, and it will continue.

As far as Sunday, I’ll be there, cheering on the Ravens!

But today is CHRISTMAS EVE and I want to wish everyone a wonderful day.

The BALTIMORE RAVENS play today, and last week clinched a playoff spot. What a lovely Christmas gift it would be to beat the Cleveland Browns here at home!

For those celebrating Hanukkah, I apologize for missing the first night and wishing you a HAPPY HANUKKAH. My son was with his Aunt and got to celebrate for the first time. He loved it! He got his dreidel, and won a number of times while playing with his cousin. He also got to light the first candle, which he has wanted to do for years!

I wish everyone a wonderful weekend — whether or not you celebrate this holiday!

The Baltimore Ravens play the San Francisco 49ers at 8:20pm Thanksgiving night — so my family will be split up in places.

A mini Kirk Thanksgiving will be held at Ravens Stadium (or really, prior to, at the tailgate), since a number will be attending the game.

Another group will be at my house with kiddos.

Another group will be heading somewhere new.

And my side of the family is staying at their homes in their respective states.

I will miss those we cannot be with, but am thankful for the family we will be.

So, HAPPY THANKSGIVING, Baltimore, and GO RAVENS!

Hopefully the Baltimore Ravens’ offense used their time off well and were able to strengthen their struggling offense.

This week I wore my Ravens gear and even got my nails painted purple (which, for those who know me, is funny because I *never* get my nails painted any sort of color!).

The Ravens vs Texans game is at 4:05pm on Sunday, so get out & enjoy the beautiful weather we are supposed to have beforehand. Then hunker down and cheer our Baltimore Ravens to victory!

As the defense was announced, the players came out, pumped and seemingly ready. And they were.

The defense played an incredible game.

The offense was off, not in sync like they had been on week one. Luckily the defense was, and they forced three turnovers for scores, helping boost the Ravens to a 34-17 win over the Jets.

It wasn’t a pretty win, and at moments, I was worried about the Jets coming back. Thank goodness that didn’t happen.

It was a successful night in with the big win, and the Ravens sit at 3-1 as they head into the BYE week this weekend.

So, no Purple Friday this week, and we return home against the Texans on the 16th. The Texans are a force to be reckoned with, also sitting at 3-1, with come-behind amazing wins. Our boys had better rest up and be ready! GO RAVENS!

After last week’s incredible game against the Steelers, we Baltimore Ravens fans are very excited and happy about our season.

As we head into week two, our spirits are high, and our support loud and purple!

On a personal note, today my Dad got some bad news, that his cancer has returned. I appreciate positive thoughts sent his way. Hopefully the course of treatment will go well, and all of the support he can get will certainly help. THANK YOU!

Not only was it the opening game of the season for the Baltimore Ravens, it was against our biggest rivals.

I had been nervous prior to the game, because the Steelers are a very good team. We have always had rough games against them.

So imagine when our first series of plays of the game ends in a touchdown.

And then our defense forces a turnover. And the process happens again and again and again.

Our defense forced seven turnovers in that game, and our offense was on fire.

The best I can describe it is that the entire Baltimore Ravens team was IN SYNC.

Our offensive line provided the protection Joe Flacco needed to connect time after time.

Our defense shut the Pittsburgh offense down with blocks, interceptions, and fumbles forced.

It was INCREDIBLE.

I loved the loud support and camaraderie in the stadium as we all jumped to our feet and cheered so often, were the 12th man when our defense was on the field, and celebrated such a big victory for our team and our city. It was one of the most exciting games I have been to, and I have not missed many since the Baltimore Ravens came to be in 1996.

Downtown Baltimore was definitely the place to be yesterday.

The day started with a beautiful tribute to those we lost 10 years ago on September 11th, with an American Flag covering the field, and Taps played. Many were moved as the Star Spangled Banner was sung. And the American pride was felt as our Armed Forces flew over the stadium, reminding us of the day’s meaning.

We will always remember. We will never forget.

This year, with the NFL Lockout possibly looming, I wasn’t sure whether to care when and whom we are “supposed” to play.

Then the schedule was announced.

Home opener? Check.

Against the hated rivals the Steelers? Check.

Holy excitement, Batman!

Not only do we have a really strong team, we are playing the team that got their guts handed to them on a plate in the Superbowl (and I will admit, I was rather pleased to be able to see it in person, and joke with my family who lives in the Pittsburgh area) at home to start the NFL Regular Season!

So expect a lot of buzz and a huge amount of attention on Downtown Baltimore the second weekend in September!

GO RAVENS!!!!

My hope & wish is to exhaust my purple clothes because I have to wear them every day for the next three weeks before the Superbowl!
