Hunt Valley Race for the Cure 2010

The Susan G Komen Race For the Cure was Sunday, October 3, 2010 in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

I, along with thousands of others, walked, having raised money to help find a cure for Breast Cancer.

The sea of people was an incredible sight, and great to be a part of.

I was very impressed with the organization of the event. If you arrived early enough, parking was fairly easy at the Hunt Valley Towne Centre. Police & volunteers sent you in the right direction, and everyone was cooperative and worked well together.

The race route was well marked, and many volunteers and acts were there to cheer the participants on.

Walking with a group of people who were energized by the event, and happy to be a part of something great made the 3.1 miles go by quickly.

The finish line was a great sight to see — and there was a receiving line of volunteers congratulating those who finished. It was incredible!

Hunt Valley is the location for at least the next two years, so plan on a well coordinated event in Baltimore County, and join us in 2011!

Hunt Valley Station in Northern Baltimore County

The Hunt Valley Station community backs to the NCR Trail off Paper Mill Road.

Located just minutes from the Hunt Valley Towne Center, there are many amenities to offer including dining, shopping, movies, and Wegmans Supermarket.

Hunt Valley Station is also called Hunters Run. Public records state the community to be Hunters Run, while the signage and Home Owners Association show Hunt Valley Station.

Across Paper Mill Road from Hunt Valley Station is the Hunters Run townhome community, thus making the distinction necessary.

Hunt Valley Station is made up of both single family homes and townhouses. There were multiple builders in the community, creating different floorplans. Ryland Homes built many of the homes while Faust did a number as well.

Nearby to Hunt Valley Station  is the Oregon Ridge Park, with the Nature Center, hiking, and playground, plus swimming at the beach in the summer.

Hunt Valley is convenient to I-83 for travel into Baltimore or up through York. Its well-situated location, along with its plentitude of services, makes it a wonderful place to live!

13 Ringleaf Court in Hunt Valley Station is a five bedroom home with two full baths upstairs, and a full bath on the lower level.

A Faust-built home in the Hunters Run community, this one is on a court location, and is for sale for $569,000.

The other two five bedroom homes on the market were built by Ryland, so they have a different layout than this one.

Currently, there are three five bedroom homes for sale in Hunt Valley Station. One is 5 Berrycrest Ct and the other is 1210 Walnutwood Rd.

In 2009, I listed and sold two Hunt Valley Station single family homes.

Today, a new four bedroom home came on at 1210 Maple Leaf Ct, next door to the one I sold in November. That is one is the smallest Ryland-built homes in the neighborhood.
