Baltimore Restaurants Open Christmas Day 2010

Many people in the Baltimore area look for restaurants open on Christmas Day because often places are closed.

Last year I compiled a list of restaurants in Towson open Christmas Day. This year, I am expanding into Baltimore City because one restaurant sent an email sharing that they would be open!

This year, The Prime Rib in Baltimore will be open for dinner Christmas Day. Call for reservations, and enjoy some delicious steak or seafood for a lovely night. (The Prime Rib, 1101 N. Calvert St. 410-539-1804).

Fogo de Chao in Downtown Baltimore will also be open Christmas Day from 4-9 pm. Again, make sure to call for reservations.  (Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse, 600 E Pratt St, 410-528-9292.)

Sotto Sopra in Mt Vernon has confirmed they will be open as well, but many reservations are gone — there are 4 seating times later in the day still available. (Sotto Sopra, 405 N. Charles St, 410-625-0534.)

P.F. Changs in Towson will be open on Christmas Day, confirmed on their website. They will be open from 3 pm- 9pm. Reservations are highly recommended. P.F. Chang’s Towson Town Centre, 410-372-5250.)

I am sure there are more, but these are the ones I have confirmed that are open. If you are out Christmas night for dinner, I may just see you!

Places to Eat in Towson on Christmas Day

There are many people who look for good places to eat in Towson on Christmas Day besides their homes. I know we do, because our family dinner is always on Christmas Eve.

I received a notice that P.F Changs in Towson Town Center will be open (call to make sure, but was told they are open 3-8 pm, 410-372-5750) , so I decided to look at what else may be as well.

A great short post from Elizabeth Large, The Baltimore Sun Restaurant Critic, has gotten many comments from readers with other suggestions.

In the past, I know that Joey Chiu’s Greenspring in Lutherville has been open, as my family has dined there a few times on December 25th. Szechuan House at York  & Seminary in Lutherville should also be open. (Again, I recommend you call, and possibly get reservations, as you will find many people out enjoying the good food!
