Towson celebrates Flag Day at Pickersgill Retirement Community on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 7 pm.

Pickersgill is named for Mary Pickersgill, who sewed the flag that flew over Fort McHenry in the War of 1812, which inspired Francis Scott Key to write “The Star-Spangled Banner”.

Guests are invited to bring a picnic to enjoy on the lawn before the ceremony. Events include the Harbor City Chorus singing patriotic songs and a display of over 200 historic flags.

Enjoy a patriotic event at the convenient Pickersgill Retirement Community in West Towson!
