Hereford High School in Parkton and George Washington Carver High School in Towson were named National Blue Ribbon Schools in 2016!

Congratulations to both Baltimore County high schools!

A National Blue Ribbon School, according to the U.S. Department of Education’s website, “is based on a school’s overall academic excellence or marked progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups.”

Hereford High School is the only school in Baltimore County with an Agricultural Science program. Over 200 students participate in the program, with classes such as veterinary science, biotechnology, and turf management. The school is well known for their academics, music, and arts.

Carver Center is a magnet school in Towson with a multitude of special studies areas, including acting, dance, technical theatre, literary arts, visual arts, as well as information technologies and interactive media production.
