Hunt Valley home sales in May 2013 were down from the same point last year.

The total volume of Cockeysville homes that sold in May was $7,394,950, down 21.79% from the $9,454,650 that sold last May.

Average sold price was up 14.72% to $492,997. There were three high priced homes, one over $1Million, and two just under, that sold last month.

Fifteen Hunt Valley homes sold in May, down from 22 last year. It took an average of only 20 days for a 21030 home to receive an acceptable contract, which is down significantly from the 143 average it took in May 2012. One home sold the day it came on the market, while another six sold in less than 10, and another six in less than a month.

Twenty-seven Hunt Valley homes went under contract in May, while 35 homes came on the market.  There were a total of 71Hunt Valley homes for sale by the end of May, which is another large drop from the 91 last year at the same time.
