Declutter your home in a month or less?

Most of us have to deal with clutter in our homes. It just happens. No matter how much we try to avoid it, it seems to come back. Again and Again.

It can feel very overwhelming to try to tackle the whole house — which is why breaking it down into little bits may be a great way to get it done.

I’ve seen posts about doing this in 15 minutes or less per day, plus a great challenge that the home-storage-solutions-101.com site that people have signed up to do, but I really like how this post from sparkpeople.com gets really specific and detailed — which to me, makes it feel much more manageable and truly doable.

I would have just said, “here, let me tackle the bathroom.” The great part about this post, is that it breaks it down even SMALLER! Day one: Start with JUST the medicine cabinet.

In the kitchen, tackle each drawer separately, even if they are lumped together. Just look at it as one drawer at a time!

Most projects can seem very overwhelming if you look at the entire thing as a whole. Breaking it down into parts can really help make things happen!

So, go ahead and start decluttering your home — even if it DOES end up taking more than 30 days to do.
