The Towson 21286 zip code saw a great increase in home sales in September 2012 compared to the same month last year.
The total volume of home sales for September was $4,523,150 which is up 60.48% from the $2,818,500 that sold last September. The average sales price was down 10.84% to $251,286 from $281,850 at the same point last year.
Eighteen homes sold last month, eight more than last year. Unfortunately, the average time it took to receive sell was 183 — up over 150% from the 71 days it took last September. Now, this very much has to do with the fact that it took TWO homes over 721 days to sell, and when only 18 homes change hands, that is a 11% of the sales. On a very positive note, though, three homes sold within the first ten days on the market, and another three within 20 days!
Sixty-one homes were for sale in 21286 in September, with 22 of them new to the market. Nineteen homes received acceptable contracts, with a total of 29 pending homes.
