Artscape 2015 is July 17-29!

What is Artscape?

Artscape is a free arts festival in Downtown Baltimore with visual arts exhibits, live concerts, performing arts, family events, and more.

Over 350,000 people are expected to visit over the three day event. Hours are Friday 11am-9pm, Saturday 11am-9pm and Sunday 11am-8pm.

The location of the festival is Mount Royal Ave & Cathedral St, Charles St, Bolton Hill, + the Station North Arts and Entertainment District area. Be aware there are many roads closed around the festival, so plan to find parking a bit away, or take the light rail. The official parking garages are The Fitzgerald Garage located at 1201 West Mt Royal Ave, and The Meyerhoff Garage, at 1212 Cathedral Street.

This year’s theme is “Water,” due to its’ importance as both a resource around the world, and a basic necessity in daily life. There will be an “Aqua-Lounge” with information about water conservation and good practices from many resources, including the National Aquarium in Baltimore, Baltimore City Department of Public Works, Clean Water Action, and more.

There is a free app you can download, which can help you navigate through the different areas, locate performance schedules, and get updates above any schedule changes that may occur.

Baltimore Artscape has a great website, which shows the garages that are open as well as public transportation options that will get you close by. The site has details about the festival, how to plan your visit, a map of where to go for certain exhibits, and explanations of what you will find when you visit.

Enjoy the 34th Annual Artscape in Downtown Baltimore July 17-19, 2015. A great, fun, free event right in Baltimore!
