Baltimore 4th of July showcases a number of fun events for all.

The “Baltimore’s Ports America Chesapeake Fourth of July Celebration” runs from 4-10pm on the 4th.

Live reggae music by Jah Works can be enjoyed at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater beginning at 4, the U.S. Naval Academy Band Electric Brigade performs Top 40 music beginning at 7pm.  The huge fireworks display begins at 9:30pm, and usually lasts about 18 minutes. There are a number of places with special events and prime viewing that you can purchase tickets to, like the World Trade Center’s Picnic at the Top from 7:30-10, The National Aquarium in Baltimore’s Fourth of July Pier Party (unfortunately already sold out for 2013,) and the Rusty Scupper Annual Crab Feast from 5:30-9:30pm.

Fort McHenry’s 4th of July celebration runs throughout the day, from about 9:30am-5pm. There will be fife and drum concerts, cannon-firing, kids activities, plus a reading of the Declaration of Independence.

The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore has a “Red, White & Zoo” celebration from 10am-4pm — more details on their website.

The American Visionary Art Museum has their 4th of July Pet Parade at 10am — free for participants AND attendees!

Port Discovery has fun activities throughout the day until their closing time of 5pm.
