Baltimore City Christmas Tree Pickup 2017 will be happening January 3-January 31, 2017!

The Baltimore City Department of Public Works just posted on their Facebook Page on 12/27/16: “…the Bureau of Solid Waste will offer curbside tree collection from Tuesday, January 3, 2017, through Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Residents should set out trees on their regularly scheduled trash collection day at the same location where their trash is collected. All tinsel and ornaments must be removed from trees before they are set out for curbside collection or mulching.”

Baltimore City residents should put their trees out on their regularly scheduled trash day, and the city will remove them. In the past, the Baltimore City Department of Public Works has noted that it may not be taken on the first trash day that your tree is out. In the past, the city picked them up anytime during the month.

All decorations, including lights and all tinsel, need to be removed. The city will not take them if they have anything left on them.

If you’d like your tree to be mulched, and you would like some for yourself, you can bring your tree to the Reedbird Avenue Citizen Convenience Center located at 701 Reedbird Avenue any Monday thru Saturday in January, beginning the 3rd from 9am-2pm.

For questions, concerns or problems, please call the Baltimore City Department of Public Works. In the past, they have said to dial “311”.
