Baltimore County trash and recycling guides for 2025 were mailed to residents in late-December 2024. This year, though, there was no printed schedule. The flyer gave QR codes to the guide and schedules online, but those are not posted until January 1, 2025.
As of January 1, 2025, the new schedules should be found online.
Residents should note the newer “slide” schedule for holidays – so if there is a holiday that week, at least one of your pick up days may be shifted to the following day.
The new schedules run through 2025. It appears there isn’t a calendar that can be printed anymore – just the collection days and a separate holiday and yard collection schedule. So far, I don’t find it user friendly. I hope they will change this in the upcoming days.
**EDITED TO ADD: I agree that this new “format” is not good. I highly recommend contacting the Baltimore County Department of Public Works to make your voice heard. Maybe with enough complaints, they will adjust. The Baltimore County Department of Public Works Solid Waste Department is scheduled to be open M-F 8:30am-4pm -Phone
410-887-2000.**
Please reconsider and print and distribute the collection schedule in the yearly format reflecting the pickup days…..as it has been for the last several years….it is so much easier for county residents to read and understand … .
The QR scan format is just dumb and is not user friendly !!
I agree, Donald! The online format is terrible! It may be worth reaching out to the Baltimore County Department of Public Works to request! https://www.baltimorecountymd.gov/departments/public-works/solid-waste
please please can they print collection schedule on form to put on Refrigeration like they did for couple of years and it so much easier to look at schedule. This it a long paper to print out and not working for people for Baltimore county,
I agree wholeheartedly! I believe the Baltimore County Government is closed due to snow today, but it may be worth contacting the Department of Public Works when they reopen! https://www.baltimorecountymd.gov/departments/public-works/solid-waste
Thank you Theresa. Exactly right!
I agree, Peter! I recommend contacting the Baltimore County Department of Public Works to let them know your thoughts. I wonder/hope if enough people complain, maybe they will make a change. https://www.baltimorecountymd.gov/departments/public-works/solid-waste
I used the site from the mail and I got the 2024 schedule. Please send the schedule as they did in previous years. Thank you
Hi Barbara, they don’t have the printed schedules. They have updated the website, but there isn’t a regular schedule to download. I highly recommend contacting the Department of Public Works to make your voice heard. My hope is that if they hear from a lot of people they may reconsider their decision! https://www.baltimorecountymd.gov/departments/public-works/solid-waste
It’s the 8th of January and they haven’t picked up our recycling yet… When are they planning on doing so? I know the snow put a crimp in the deal but come on! We have all our bins overflowing! Please address this issue and let me know when they will be available.
Hi Florence, we learned from Izzy Patoka that due to the snow, recycling that was supposed to be taken Monday 1/6 won’t be collected until next Monday 1/13. Ours is overflowing too. We started using big boxes to put more items in. It will be a hard Monday for the crews next week!
I am in Catonsville, Baltimore County and my trash is over flowing — l need a 2025 schedule for trash, yard, and bulk.,
Hi Elsie, they don’t have the printed schedules. They have updated the website, and you can see your collection days, but there isn’t a regular schedule to download. I highly recommend contacting the Department of Public Works to let them know if you don’t like the format. My hope is that if they hear from a lot of people they may reconsider their decision! https://www.baltimorecountymd.gov/departments/public-works/solid-waste
All the county has to do is post the trash, recycling, yard pickup and holiday calendar online somewhere and we can print it. Saves the county some money. Just tell everyone where it is.
I agree, George! I highly recommend contacting the Baltimore County Department of Public Works to let them know your thoughts. I hope if enough people make their voices heard, maybe they will make a change. https://www.baltimorecountymd.gov/departments/public-works/solid-waste
