Some basic statistics on the Timonium Real Estate City-Data show a strong community with much to offer anyone considering the area.

There are some very distinct areas in Timonium Real Estate, and here is a sampling of a few. First, there is Mays Chapel . Mays Chapel is a planned community made up of older condos, townhomes & a few single family homes, and then much newer townhomes & condos & apartments. Much of the community was built by Keelty , a well known builder of fine homes. The Mays Chapel area is a large, widespread area both North & South of West Padonia Road. It is a quick jump onto I-83 to head downtown for an easy commute, and only a few miles away from the Light Rail to save your gas.

Mays Chapel boasts a brand new swimclub with four pools and two water slides. It also is home to the Mays Chapel Ridge Retirement Community, which is also new. It also hosts the Lorien Rehabilitation Center.

The Roundwood Shopping Center has a gourmet grocery store, Graul’s, which also has its’ own wine store and cafe. There is a Rite Aid in the shopping center along with assorted specialty shops.

Historic Lutherville, on the other hand, is the exact opposite of Northern Timonium, despite the fact that they share a zip code. It has its own character, old houses, with a few newer ones interdispersed. Lutherville has a community association and is very active in preserving the nature of the area.

Both Lutherville & Timonium are serviced by many schools, shopping centers, and activities. There are playgrounds, sports parks, and public parks all around.

The 21093 zip code extends all the way over past Falls Road to Greenspring Valley Drive. A whole different area, this area boasts large homes, several private schools, a Johns Hopkins Medicine branch, and a unique shopping center called Greenspring Station, which hosts a variety of one-of-a-kind stores, Stone Mill Bakery & Cafe, and the newest restaurant in there, Tark’s Grill.
