Deep Snow Stairwell Warning.

I posted about clearing natural gas vents of snow to avoid furnaces shut off, or potential carbon monoxide exposure.

Now I am back with a new warning since we are supposed to get RAIN on top of these 29.2″ of snow ++ extra feet drifts.

Do you have a stairwell outside of your house that goes to your basement?

Does it have a drain at the bottom?

Is it currently buried in snow?

Imagine if we get rain, the snow starts to melt, and the liquid has no where to go. Where might it go?

Unfortunately, it could potentially go into your home.

So, if you can, it is a good idea to get those shovels back out and clear the snow out of those stairwells to give the liquid someplace to go.
