Harvest Day at Hampton National Historic Site in Towson 2025 is scheduled for October 18, 2025. **PLEASE NOTE – As of 10/10/2025, the government is shut down. I don’t know whether Harvest Day will happen. Please contact the Hampton National Historic Site for more information.**
Harvest Day commemorates the day that communities would harvest crops and store them for winter. Hampton National Historic Site was once a large plantation, and relied on slaves to get through each harvest. Hampton commemorates Harvest Day with demonstrations and storytelling to share how life was at that time.
From 11am-4pm on 10/18/2025, Hampton National Historic Site has many activities planned from Farm Tours, African-American storytelling and music, multiple corn-shucking contests, Mansion tours, and multiple programs like apple cider pressing, butter churning, old-fashioned toys & corn-husk doll making, blacksmithing, and harvesting tools.
Learn more and plan ahead on the National Park Service’s page about Harvest Day 2025.
