The Kennedy Krieger Festival of Trees 2012 is November 23-25!

Hours are Friday & Saturday from 10am-9pm, and Sunday the 25th 10am-6pm.

This year, tickets are $13 for Adults, and $7 for Seniors and Children ages 5-12. (Children 4 and under are free.) Tickets can be purchased at the door, but if you buy in advance (through Friday, November 23) through this link on their site, you can save $2 on each adult ticket, and $1 on children and Senior tickets. This year you can print them out and bring them with you! If you aren’t able to pre-order, you can print a $1 coupon from their site and bring it to the box office! (Note, you will need one coupon for each discounted ticket.)

Most of the games & activities require tickets or a wrist band and once your kids see them, they will want to play them. Prices/ticket requirements for the SantaLand activities, per the site:

SantaLand Activity Ticket Prices (Red Activity Tickets are $.50 each) are as follows:

2 Red Tickets: Carnival Games, Arts & Crafts, Inflatable Slide Ride
4 Red Tickets: Carousel and Train Ride
6 Red Tickets: Remote Control Race Track and Simulator Ride
$5 Green Ticket: 1 Pony Ride (You may also use 10 Red Tickets)
$5 Wristband: Unlimited Carousel, Train and Inflatable Slide Rides

In years past, there has been a $20 activity packet, but I cannot find much information online. On the FAQ’s page under “How Much Do SantaLand Activities Cost,” I did find: “You can purchase an Activity Ticket Quick Pack for $20 at the Ticket Booth in SantaLand. The Activity Ticket Quick Pack includes 20 Red Activity Tickets, 1 Wristband*, and 1 Pony Ride. (Wristband good for Unlimited Carousel, Train and Inflatable Slide Rides.)”

If you don’t get the Activity Ticket Quick Pack, budget accordingly. (I recommend the wrist band.) Get red tickets too if your kids will want to do the remote control race track or play the carnival games. The line for the pony ride can get long, so if your child may not be able or willing to wait, maybe get 10 extra red tickets instead of the green one and if they don’t wait, do a few other red ticket activities!

Friday at 11am the ever popular Milkshake is scheduled to perform, so expect the main stage and through area to be busy at that time. The kids will love it, though! Milkshake is scheduled to perform again at 4pm for those who couldn’t make the morning show!

The shopping area has many unique items and gifts for you to browse and buy.

Visit SANTA, and share with him your gift wishes!

And of course, there are the TREES! So many neat designs — you can even buy one if it is still available!

A heads up — lunchtime in the eating areas gets CROWDED. Plan to get food a little early, and snag a table if you can.

A fun event every year, it benefits the Kennedy Krieger Institute and the many families the organization helps.

Come enjoy a lovely Winter Wonderland right in Timonium.
