There are two new speed cameras coming to Towson, so make sure to check your speedometer!

The two new Towson speed cameras will be by Riderwood Elementary School on Thornton Road and the other On Kenilworth Drive by Carver Center for the Arts.

A sign has already been installed on Thornton Road, warning drivers for weeks that the speed limit of 30 is photo enforced.

Baltimore County Police sent a press release, stating that a total of 13 new cameras will be installed throughout the county, according to an article on the Towson Patch.

The cameras will be operational from 6am-8pm Monday through Friday.

For the first 30 days after installation, drivers will receive warnings in the mail if they are going 12 miles over the speed limit or faster. After then, tickets will be issued.
