New Year’s Eve thoughts on Towson real estate comes from reflecting on 2013, the good and the bad.

The Towson real estate market has been volatile — ups and downs. May was a down month, which was unusual after a few months on the rise earlier in the year. June was up, but then July, August and September were down. The end of the year looked promising for Towson real estate. I look forward to seeing the end of year numbers.

This was very different than Timonium home sales, which saw incredible months in May and June. I sold two Timonium homes during May & early June that had MULTIPLE contract offers. July was incredible in Timonium. Meanwhile, once those months passed, sales slowed, and the end of the year was on a downswing for Timonium real estate.

Hunt Valley home sales were up and down as well. The summer wasn’t strong, but then August into the fall has been amazing!

In general, throughout most of 2013, Baltimore County home sales were at least even, if not a little up. December’s statistics, as well as the end of the year recap won’t be out until the middle of January, so look for those in the new year.
