Seats on the Street in Towson was developed as a way for Towson restaurants to have more outdoor dining space during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The original plan was to have Pennsylvania Avenue closed to cars Saturday and Sundays through June, but that it could be extended if popular. Here is more information in a Patch article from June.

We went last night to Nacho Mama’s in Towson, and there were plenty of tables shared with C&R Pub across Pennsylvania Avenue. Despite it being a nice night, there weren’t many people.

I wondered if people knew Seats on the Street was still happening. I did not, and I could not find any information online about the program past June. We ended up calling to make sure they had tables available!

I wanted to get the word out, because we had a very enjoyable experience, and we felt many precautions were taken. We want to help our local restaurants as much as we can in a way that we feel safe about doing.

We learned that Seats on the Street is now planning to continue until otherwise notified.

Don’t miss out on outdoor dining in Towson with plenty of social distancing and good food on Saturdays and Sundays – 11am-9:30pm Saturdays and 10am-10 pm Sundays!
