A York Road construction project in Towson is about to begin – and is scheduled to last for two years, through 2027.
Starting November 2, 2025, York Road in Towson from Newell Avenue (just south of the Towson Bypass) to the Circle is scheduled be under construction. The project is to replace the water main and improve the roadway. Here is more information on the construction from the MDOT SHA website.
The Maryland State Highway Administration says that more than 16,000 people drive this portion of York Road each day, so most of the construction work will take place at night.
Be aware and prepared and use alternate routes if necessary during the construction on York Road in Towson.
