Artscape 2019 is July 19-21!
Artscape is a free arts festival in Downtown Baltimore with visual arts exhibits, live concerts, performing arts, family events, and more.
Over 350,000 people are expected to visit over the three day event. Hours are Friday 11am-9pm, Saturday 11am-9pm and Sunday 11am-7pm.
The location of the festival is Mount Royal Ave & Cathedral St, Charles St, Bolton Hill, + the Station North Arts and Entertainment District area. Be aware there are many roads closed around the festival, so plan to find parking a bit away, or take the light rail. The official parking garages are The Fitzgerald Garage located at 1201 West Mt Royal Ave, The Meyerhoff Garage at 1212 Cathedral Street, the University of Baltimore’s Maryland Avenue Garage at 1120 Maryland Avenue, and The Penn Station Garage at 1500 N. Charles Street.
This year the theme is “Discover,” which was inspired by the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing on July 20.
There is a free app you can download, which can help you navigate through the different areas, locate performance schedules, and get updates above any schedule changes that may occur.
Baltimore Artscape has a great website, which shows the garages that are open as well as public transportation options that will get you close by. The site has details about the festival, how to plan your visit, a map of where to go for certain exhibits, and explanations of what you will find when you visit.
