This Thursday, October 14, 2010 is a Baltimore Cultural Town Meeting, hosted by Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake at the Baltimore School for the Arts.

From 5:30-8 pm, the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts and the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance will have multiple events, including a panel on “Audience Engagement in 2010”, which will showcase noted speakers such as Tom Rowe, Director of Web Marketing at Visit Baltimore, Dr. Carla Hayden, CEO of the Enoch Pratt Free Library, and Femi Lawal of  The 5th L. The session will be moderated by WYPR 88.1 FM‘s Tom Hall, also of the Baltimore Choral Arts Society.

Another panel will showcase young Baltimore residents who will address how to interest and attract the young age group to the great Arts that Baltimore has to offer.

Mayor Rawlings-Blake will then address the state of the Arts in Baltimore and take questions from the audience.

The Cultural Town Meeting is a free event, held twice per year, and is open to the public.
