The Baltimore Farmer’s Market is opening earlier than ever, and it is this weekend!

The earlier start helps Eastern Shore farmers, especially those who grow asparagus, the season of which ends in May. This also helps lettuces, radishes and beets as well, since they are cold weather crops.

Local farmers will have meats, vegetables, fruits, and organic products for sale, as well as vendors with fresh fish and other seafood. The Farmer’s Market also hosts a Bazaar nearby with crafts and handmade items too! The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts website has a lot of details, including who will be marketing each weekend.

The Baltimore Farmer’s Market is located under the JFX at Holliday and Saratoga Streets.
