Hunt Valley Home Sales for August 2012 were about even from the same period last year.
A total of $6,187,300 sold last month, a slight increase of 1.02% from August 2011. This is a large drop from July 2012 Hunt Valley Home Sales, where over $10.8 Millon sold, but August, on average, does tend to drop from July.
The average sold price dropped 4.3% to $325,647 from last August (which is a big drop from the high of $542,458 in July. This could be due to the types of houses that sold in 21030, as some of the Hunt Valley homes are larger and newer, while Cockeysville has some older, smaller homes, plus more condos and townhouses.)
Nineteen homes settled last month, and they took an average of 55 days to sell. This is a great, significant drop from the 86 days it took last year. Two homes sold within the first 10 days on the market, while another four sold within a month.
The same number of homes sold as went under contract last month, while twenty homes came on the market. There were 66 Hunt Valley homes for sale in July, a 34.65% drop from last August.
