Towson Circle redevelopment is in the works, with the spaces vacated by Trader Joe’s in March, Barnes & Noble this summer, Pier One that had already closed, and Bahama Breeze which had already closed in line for a complete redo.

Though the developers, Retail Properties of America Inc., had originally thought that Barnes & Noble would be remaining, the bookstore announced that they are closing last week.

Retail Properties of America Inc. recently acquired the recently redone Towson Square with the movie theatre and multiple eateries, and plans to blend that development into this one.

According to an article in the Towson Flyer, They plan to add 371 residential units (apartments) and 75,000 square feet of retail space, and make the entire retail area a “walkable” area in which to shop and dine.

Here are some renderings of the site as RPAI sees it as it is redeveloped: RPAI properties Towson Circle Images .
