Towson Winterfest 2012 is underway, with the tree lit last week, and many activities this weekend!

Each Thursday (12/6, 13, 20, 27) in December is a HoHo Happy Hour with drink and food specials at participating Towson restaurants and bars beginning at 5pm.

The Towson Chamber of Commerce has a convenient map showing which bars and restaurants are participating — as well as the locations of other events throughout the month!

Friday, December 7 is Fire & Ice night from 6-9 pm where there will be ice sculptures throughout Downtown Towson, as well as street performers, plus free roasted chestnuts and s’mores offered by participating restaurants. The above map from the Towson Chamber of Commerce shows the locations of the ice sculptures!

Saturday, December 8 at 9am, have Breakfast with the Grinch at Souris’ Saloon ($5 for children, $10 for adults) and/or at 9:30 head over to Santa’s Workshop for a Holiday Movie (The Grinch — the movie starts at 10:30!) and Santa’s Craft Workshop.

The fun continues Friday, December 14 with more street performances from 6-9pm.

Saturday, December 15, you can have Breakfast with Frosty the Snowman at Strapazza ($5 children, $10 adults) and then head over to Santa’s Workshop for Frosty the Snowman, plus crafts for the kids.

Finally, Thursday, December 20th is Men’s Shopping Night where local stores will help choose the right gifts, and Souris’ Saloon will wrap gifts for free.

The Towson Chamber of Commerce has the list of activities posted on their site, but I have them listed here as well!

Come and enjoy Downtown Towson all month long. It should be lots of fun!
