Baltimore was featured in an article in Southern Living in March 2025.

Baltimore has been recognized in the past by Travel + Leisure: “Coolest City on the East Coast” and “One of America’s Most Charming Cities” as well as Architectural Digest calling the city “Exciting“.

Baltimore has so much to offer, and this Southern Living article about the 14 Best Things to do in Baltimore touches on a few of those things.

Calling Baltimore an “East Coast gem,” Sarah Lyon talks about the many art museums we have here in Baltimore. From the Walters Art Museum to the American Visionary Art Museum (AVAM), the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture to the BMA (Baltimore Museum of Art).

She also mentions the National Aquarium in Baltimore and the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore.

Lyon even discusses Hampden in Northern Baltimore city with the many different shops (36th Street – The Avenue!). There are a number of great restaurants there too! I also want to add that there is the unique Hampden neighborhood of homes!

Heading back to Downtown Baltimore, the Baltimore Orioles are back in season, and when they finish, the Baltimore Ravens play.

Also in Downtown Baltimore is the Fell’s Point neighborhood with eclectic shops, great restaurants and a lot of neat homes.

She talks about other restaurants and places to stay, but I think the best way to get the real feeling of Baltimore is to buy a home in Baltimore!
