Coronavirus Maryland real estate market trends are being put together by our MLS, Bright MLS. Here is the update for May 3, 2020.

A reminder from past weeks’ posts, Bright MLS covers a large swath of states, so they have statistics for a number of areas, but then they drill down to specific state data.

Starting on page 30 of the Bright MLS multi-state report 05/03/2020, the Maryland real estate data shows the following:

In Maryland, the daily number of “New Active Listings” added to the market from 5/1-3 was was down from last year at the same time, but on the same rising scale as last year.

New pending listings from 5/1-3 are lower than last year at the same time, but are on the same basic scale as last year (though Sunday showed more homes go under contract than the same Sunday last year!)

Closings appear to be slightly lower but along the same trajectory as last year’s graph.

The daily showing activity was along the same lines as last year, but actual appointments were higher this year over last year for this weekend.

I appreciate this data from Bright MLS and look forward to seeing the next report so I can share with you once received.
