Coronavirus Maryland real estate market trends are being put together by our MLS, Bright MLS. Here is the update for July 6, 2020.

A reminder from earlier posts, Bright MLS covers a large swath of states, so they have statistics for a number of areas, but then they drill down to specific state data.

Starting on page 25 of the Bright MLS multi-state report 07/06/2020, the Maryland real estate data shows the following:

In Maryland, the daily number of “New Active Listings” added to the market from 6/29-7/6 was lower than the number of listings as last year at the same time. It is very close to last year at the same time, and last week had been higher than last year.

New pending listings from 6/29-7/6 dropped very slightly, but continued the higher rate than last year for a seventh report.

Closings dropped below last year at the same time, though they had spiked the week before to surpass last year.

The daily showing activity is still well above last year at the same point. As I have mentioned before, this could be partially due to the competing showing service, Centralized Showing Service not sharing this data from last year. ShowingTime has since bought their service and merged them into one.

I appreciate this data from Bright MLS and look forward to seeing the next report so I can share with you once received.
